Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre

Jean-Luc is the Hockey Director for the Elite Development Program.

A Montreal native, Jean-Luc skated as a defenseman for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Atlanta Thrashers, Washington Capitals, and several European clubs in a 15-year pro career.

Jean-Luc also serves as a Columbus Blue Jackets studio analyst for Bally Sports Ohio. When away from the ice, he enjoys spending time with his family.

Eric Travers

Eric is the Program Director and Head Goalie Coach for the Elite Development Program.

A British Columbia native, Eric played Division III college hockey at Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota, and then club hockey at George Washington University while in law school.  

While serving as the CAHA mite and mini-mite coordinator in the mid-2000s, Eric was instrumental in having legendary NHL skills coach Darryl Belfry establish Belfry Hockey Columbus in 2013. Belfry Hockey Columbus – now known as the Elite Development Program, or EDP – was created to serve as an alternative developmental program for Central Ohio families and hockey players using dedicated coaches, and modern teaching and feedback to encourage the learning and development of translatable skills to help players reach their full potential.

Dan Dukart

Dan is the Director of Video and Analytics for the Elite Development Program along with serving as the Coaches Liaison to the Board of Directors and an assistant coach on the U14 Premier team.

Dan has been with EDP since 2016, developing players from mite through bantam and beyond. As a coach and Director of Video and Analytics, Dan's involvement impacts all aspects of the program from the grassroots up.

A Cincinnati native, Dan's love for the Bengals comes close to his love for the sport of hockey.

Danny Greiner

Now in his second season with the Elite Development Program, Danny is the head coach of the U14 Premier team. Danny played college hockey for Nichols College before coaching Nichols women's ice hockey team. Danny has also coached for Dublin Coffman High School. He has a masters degree in accounting as well as a BSBA in accounting from Nichol’s College.

Mitchell Goodin

Mitchell is the head coach of the U12 Premier and U12 Elite teams for the Elite Development Program. Additionally, he serves as an assistant coach for the U14 Premier team.


Michael Birch

Michael serves as an assistant coach for the U14 Premier, U14 Elite, U12 Premier, and U12 Elite teams in the Elite Development Program.

Favorite Player Growing Up: Pavel Datsyuk


Matt Carter

Matt is an assistant coach for the U14 Elite, U12 Premier, U12 Elite, and U10 Premier teams in the Elite Development Program.

A Michigan native, Matt started skating when he was three years old and joined his first team not long after. Matt joined the Elite Development Program coaching ranks in 2020 and also serves as the head junior varsity coach for Olentangy Orange High School.


Will Rhymer

Will is the head coach for the U14 Elite team at the Elite Development Program.

Will grew up in Gahanna, Ohio and played 4 years of varsity hockey with Gahanna High School before joining the Columbus Mavericks for Junior Hockey. This is Will’s second year with EDP. Will is Currently pursuing Information Technology online along with furthering his coaching certifications past level one.

Adam McHugh

Adam is the head coach of the U10 Premier team at the Elite Development Program.

Born in Bricktown, New Jersey, Adam started skating at the age of 3. After playing several years in the Garden State, the McHugh family relocated to Columbus, Ohio where Adam continued to skate. Adam attended Olentangy Orange high school and was the school's first varsity captain of the ice hockey team and played and “pre/post” with Team Columbus.

After High School, Adam attended Ohio University and played on their Division II ACHA club hockey team as a freshman. Adam later attended Otterbein University and helped create the school's Division III club hockey program, as president, player-coach, and captain. In just their third year of existence, Otterbein reached Nationals.

Adam has coached at EDP since 2013, with a year off in 2020-21 as the Indy Jr. Fuel 317HL Director. In addition to his time with EDP, Adam’s coaching stops include St. Charles Preparatory High School as an assistant varsity coach from 2013-16, Olentangy Orange as the junior varsity head coach, and as a skills coach with Battery Hockey Academy.

During the offseason, Adam serves as the Director of Defensive Camps for New York Islanders Goaltending Director Mitch Korn, a position he's held since 2016. He has also worked as a director and coach at Miami University’s Summer Hockey Camp since 2010.

Adam currently resides in Columbus, and presently serves as the head coach of the Columbus Academy varsity ice hockey team.

Favorite Player Growing Up: Scott Stevens


Gracie Travers

Gracie is an assistant coach with the U10 Elite and U12 Elite teams in the Elite Development Program.

A native of Columbus, Gracie first played hockey as a first-year U8 with the Capital Amateur Hockey Association. As a U10 in 2013, she made the switch to Belfry Hockey, now known as EDP.

In 2017, Gracie joined the U14 Columbus Chill Youth Hockey Association girls team and played there for three years, while continuing to practice with EDP. After that she played varsity hockey for Gahanna Lincoln High School as a junior and senior, while helping coach the EDP U10 teams.

She will skate with the CCYHA's U19 team this season in addition to coaching EDP players.
